It has been said that pride always goes before a fall. I have learnt in my years of dealing with my own well being, the process of grief and understanding others that we are not rulers of our own destinies, but managers of God’s eternity for ourselves. If we serve with haughtiness, our yield will be little. But if we serve with a subservient heart, we see rewards we can never imagine! Let us learn to serve each other, not based on position, intellect, colour or creed,but serve in love for a God who loved us first.
Proverbs 16: 18-19
Pride is the first step toward destruction. Proud thoughts will lead you to defeat. It is better to be a humble person living among the poor than to share the wealth among the proud.
